Encouraged by God's Presence and Promise

April 9, 2017 Series: Guest Speakers

Passage: Haggai 2:1–9

As the people of God, we’re called to the work of building each other up, as God builds us into a glorious temple. But loving and serving each other is hard. How can we find strength to be faithful when we’re tired, frustrated and discouraged? In today’s sermon, we’ll see how a prophecy given to the people of Judah through the prophet Haggai thousands of years ago speaks to us today. God sent his word then to comfort and inspire a discouraged people, and that same word strengthens us to pour our lives out for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
