Contending for the Gospel

March 26, 2017 Speaker: Cedric Moss Series: Galatians: The Gospel of Grace

Passage: Galatians 2:1–10

People often lament about the conflicting views among Christians. However, some conflicts over what the bible teaches are unavoidable and even necessary. In his letter to the Romans, the apostle Paul urged the Romans to stop quarrelling over their different convictions about things like eating meat, drinking wine, and observing special days. However, in the section of his letter to the Galatians that we have come to today in our sermon series (Galatians 2:1-10), the apostle Paul recounts a particular conflict about what the bible teaches that he was engaged in. In today’s sermon, we will consider why this conflict was necessary for the apostle Paul.
