Love Clears the Way

Passage: Romans 14:13–23

The Christian life is built upon the mercies of God. We are sinners, saved by Christ and in response to the mercy we have received, we now live lives in the light different from how we had lived in the past darkness. One of the more important responses to God’s mercy is seen in how we treat one another in the church. The Apostle Paul provides us with how we ought to believe and behave under God’s mercy in Romans 12 through 14. In chapter 14, Paul provides us with clear instructions to how we must live in grace towards other believers when it comes to our different opinions in matters of conscience. As we hear God’s word today, let us posture our hearts to apply and obey it.
