Life is filled with risks. One risk that we in The Bahamas face is hurricanes – a very real risk from June 1 to November 30 of every year. Recently, Hurricane Matthew came and hit every island of The Bahamas, something that has not happened since 1929. Some people who suffered loss had insured against the risk, but others, for various reasons, did not. How do we live life and handle risks like hurricanes, the possibility of job loss, business failure, and even untimely death? The answer is we need to live by faith, and the text for today’s sermon tells us how.
