Why do you work? For most of us, the answer to that question is in Psalm 1. We work to work to provide for the needs of ourselves and our families. However, in Ecclesiastes 4, the Preacher points to some other reasons that we work, and some are surprising, like envy and greed. Could this also be the case for many of us, even though our natural response is that we work to meet the needs of ourselves and our families? Today’s sermon is an opportunity for us to learn more about ourselves and others in terms of the reasons we work, so let’s posture our hearts to hear God’s word.
